Australian climber Bianca Jane Adler has successfully scaled Mt Everest (8848.86 m) today, 20 May 2026, becoming the youngest Australian climber to stand atop the world’s highest mountain at just 18 years old.

Bianca safely reached the summit during the ongoing Everest spring season. The ascent also continues a Adler family’s Himalayan legacy, following Everest summits by her father Paul Adler in 2007 and her mother Fionna Adler in 2006.

Her climbing résumé already includes Mt Manaslu (8163 m), where she became the youngest female climber to reach the summit in 2024 at the age of 16. Bianca was accompanied on Everest by Nepali guides Pemba Chhiring Sherpa and Ngudu Sherpa , according to the expedition organiser Seven Summit Treks.
